Chief Executive Officer, Chris Guérette
Chris brings to the Saskatchewan REALTORS® Association a wealth of leadership expertise in housing, real estate and association management. In her previous role as CEO of the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association, her team won two national leadership awards in back-to-back years. Chris is also a Director on the Boards of Saskatchewan Government Insurance and CN’s Saskatchewan Community Board.
Chris has over 20 years of leadership experience and has a considerable amount of accomplishments over the years. Previously, she was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Association of Saskatchewan REALTORS®, where she was also appointed to governance, ethics and marketing committees with both the Canadian Real Estate Association and the Ontario Real Estate Association.
She was also the first Executive Director of the Stan Cassidy Foundation, helping to raise much-needed funds for Eastern Canada’s only neurological rehabilitation centre. She was also an executive board member to the crown corporation managing the largest government building in New Brunswick with two schools and 30 community groups under its roof. She was a business coach for start-ups and entrepreneurs and has worked in numerous capacities toward the support of education and official languages in Canada. She is a founding board member of the Saskatchewan branch of Equal Voice, a multi-partisan organization dedicated to the involvement of more women in politics and at the board table, and a past board member of the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association and the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.
You may have seen her in politics recently, she was a school board trustee for the provincial francophone school board and tried her hand in politics during the last provincial election. She writes regular opinion pieces for the Saskatoon StarPheonix and the Regina Leader Post on making sure our province maximizes its potential by having a healthy housing continuum and a focus on growth.
